Missing Woman’s Car Found at Multnomah Falls

Police at Multnomah Falls say they’ve found a car that belongs to a woman reported missing on Saturday.

Multnomah County Search and Rescue personnel have been called out to search the trails for 37-year-old Alissa Marie McCrann, agency spokesman Lt. Steve Alexander said.

McCrann did not show up for work on Monday and had been reported missing since Saturday, Portland Police Bureau spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson said in a news release. She was last known to have come home after a run near the Portland Adventist Medical Center on Saturday morning and then left her home in the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood. She has not been seen or heard from since.

The car, a 2011 Mazda CX7, had also been missing along with McCrann. It was found parked at Multnomah Falls in the Columbia Gorge on Tuesday afternoon and has been recovered by police.

McCrann does not have any known mental health or medical issues, Simpson said.

Police said there is no information to suggest foul play.

Any hikers who were in the area should call the police non-emergency line at 503-823-3333. Information can also be emailed to missing@portlandoregon.gov and reference Portland Police Bureau Case #15-433682.
