LARCH MOUNTAIN, Ore. – Four hikers not prepared for overnight conditions were lost on Larch Mountain in east Multnomah County, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. Search and rescue teams found them safe last night.
The sheriff’s office said one of the hikers called his mom at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday to tell her they were lost. He said the group is composed of three teens and a woman in her 20’s.
The four were dressed for a day hike and were not prepared to be out in the woods overnight, the sheriff’s office said.
